Guest Blogger: Kyle Gilbert is the Communications Pastor at Faith Promise Church.

Two weeks ago, Faith Promise branched into a new realm of ministry as we kicked off our Internet Campus. Fortunately, people at LifeChurch.tv and Flamingo Road have pioneered the way, and we’re fortunate to learn from their endeavors. While we are completely new at this, here’s a basic rundown of our components:

Flash video is streamed through Light Cast Media.

Chat is powered by AddonChat.

Live Prayer is built on PHP Live!.

I pulled together the structure and graphics, and the programming for our iCampus was done by one of our awesome volunteers using ColdFusion.

Our first week launched with 60 people attending, and the second week grew by 10%. The best part is the stories we’ve already heard of people who are disabled, unchurched, out of town, or caring for sick relatives who have connected to Faith Promise through our iCampus.
