Reminds me of a daddy-daughter date I had just this Sunday evening with my 8 year-old over doughnuts and Krispy Kreme. After we chowed down on some "Hot Doughnuts Now", we spent time talking about why she wants to be a Christ-follower and how she can begin to pursue Christ. Great conversation, one I will remember for ever. One thing we do in our family to intentionally build time and invest in our family/kids, create memories, have fun, and grow spiritually is to have planned, creative family nights a couple of times a month. Each one looks different but many have a similar structure: food, games, devotion/conversation, crafts, etc. all built around a theme. We really try to go over the top with the theme to make it fun and memorable. We hope to begin to share these in a way with other families where they can take the ideas and work we have put in and use it with there families. Maybe on a blog soon.
