This week has been a milestone in the Whitehead home: Hayden (our first child) started Pre-K. So, this post is going to be one of those gooey posts about the kiddos (if you cannot handle that today, quit reading now – you were warned!).

There seems to be this amazing tension with kids: you want them to grow up fast so that life will get easier but as they grow you wish that you had a little more time in each stage. It’s a constant battle (except for the times that you wonder if you were insane for ever having kids).

Confession: I am not always the most sensitive person. So, this week everyone has been asking, “How is Kim?” And no one will believe that she has done great and I have been sentimental about the whole thing (even though today I did not feel wet stuff near my eyes like the first two days). Later after the first day that we dropped him in the class, she told me that while the teacher hugged her she wanted to say, “You need to go hug him (me) because he needs it more than I do.” It was hilarious!

So, here are some pics of the first day of school and the first school color sheet I received today. Also, look at Madison’s eyes in the family one…she’s our wild one!

This will be a great memory for our family. What’s a great memory of your kids so far?

This has been a big week for us too. We added a son to our family a week ago and one of the greatest feelings was watching our 3yr old daughter meet him. She absolutely loves him and wants to hold him all of the time. These are memories that will never leave me.

BTW, I have decided to never send my kids to school. I am pretty sure it will cause too much emotional stress for me!!!!!
