I can’t believe it – today is post #200 on my blog journey. It’s a blog milestone for me! So, what have people read over the last year:

Honestly, my favorite post was “Smash Face.” In case you missed it, I was on my way to Dallas, TX for my first speaking opportunity ever – it was at the Xpastor.org Seminar. Of course, that morning it decided to snow 2 inches in an hour and we weren’t going to be able to get the car out of the garage. In an attempt to clear the snow, I got out the shovel, put it to the concrete and began to slide down the driveway. I fell, landed on my face, and had to tell everyone that I got in a fight with a shovel on a snowy driveway (Isn’t that a Mark Batterson book?).

So, in honor of #200, the first 12 people to post a comment about their favorite post on my blog will get a copy of In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson (shipped free of charge anywhere in the US – the comment has to be posted on July 10). Thanks for reading!

Favorite hands down is the Smash Face. I’m pretty sure that is how I found your blog to begin with….hearing about it from PC.

Keep up the awesome work and thought provoking words.

Josh I haven’t been reading your blog for very long but my favorites have been I love the ministry Part 1 & 4. I really loved your thoughts on calling. By the way I went to Amazon and read the first chapter of that book you mentioned…WOW. I have already been blessed by it! Keep doing all that your doing! God Bless!

Congratulation on #200–I’ve only been reading for a month, so it was nice to see the Smash Face entry. It reminds me of things that have happened to me–like dislocating my jaw because I had 27 pieces of bubble gum in my mouth while speaking at a youth camp. Sometimes good intentions don’t always work out the way you intended!

Anyway, keep up the good work, I enjoy reading the blog.

Hey Josh, you just KNOW I had to jump on this. And you know my favorite…smash face (hands down so to speak!) I appreciate your continued “gentle” urgings to get me started back blogging again. Thanks for being my friend-card and all!

    Josh,

Congratulations on your 200th blog! I’ve only been doing a blog for a few weeks, but the initial response from both our congregation and from family and extended friends have been very encouraging.
Your blog on “Your audience” was my favorite – for 2 primary reasons. One, because it was short, simple and specific. And two, because it was so stinkin’ applicable to my own personal ministry setting. Our Sunday morning audience is now by far the most diverse I have ever spoken to, and knowing who is in front of me greatly shapes my delivery. It also shapes my content, but not as much as how I present the gospel and how I ask people to respond to what they are hearing.
I really appreciate the privilege of hearing from other communicators who deal with the same realities and challenges as I do. Keep blogging! God uses you in ways and places you are not even aware of!

Hey Josh – congrats on your 200! I have enjoyed reading your blog and learning more about the XP of the church I love so much.
Personally smash face was a fav of mine, just cause I’ve seen your driveway and am pretty familiar with your mad
Snow shoveling skills… I was just glad you weren’t seriously injured. Of course it did hurt your metro image for a bit, in a “welcome to fight club” kinda way.

Th is my favorite post. You can send me Axiom instead. Thanks for helping me think through some of graystone’s next steps.

I love books. My favorite blog was Leadership from a 4 year old. I liked your transparency of knowing what to do but choosing not to do it. How many times do we do that? Much to think about. Thanks.

My favorite blog post hasn’t been mentioned yet. My favorite blog post is your next one. Ha!!!!! Maybe this will get me mentioned in the next post!!!!

I love the blog and leadership insights. I appreciate your commitment to bringing new posts almost daily. Keep doing what you are doing and I will look for my name in the next post!!

Congrats on the 200 post. And this is from the guy that everyone wants to join FaceBook!
My favorite post so far is I’m Getting it, God. It is always awesome to see how God shows us more of himself as we grow in Him.

Whoa! Bo Jackson reads your blog! We all know that Bo KNOWS blogs…..so it’s a good sign that he’s here.

Anyway, my favorite post was the “maybe I’m old fashioned”. It was something that I didn’t think many other people besides me even thought about. Glad you were bold enough to bring it up.
