Confession: I never dream. Okay, I know that someone will challenge me and say that everyone dreams. I get that, but I never remember any dreams. Seriously, I can’t remember the last dream that I had.
On the other hand, Hayden, our 4-year old, has dreams all the time. The other night he showed up beside our bed in the middle of the night. If you are a parent, you know what I am talking about. You are asleep but you have this feeling that someone is staring you in the face. You wake up to find one of your kids standing there – it’s really a strange thing! Back to the dream – he said that he dreamed about “bad” tornadoes (his greatest fear to date). I talked to him for a minute, told him that he had nothing to fear, and carried him back to his room. He fell back asleep and all was well.
You probably have bad dreams from time to time (I’m glad that I don’t!). You may be living your worst dreams because of choices you have made in your life. However, God is there – whether in the middle of the night or right in the moment that you are reading this. I’ve always loved 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (NASB)
God cares for you and He will help you, but He’s waiting for you to ask. Have you had any bad dreams lately? If you are living them, ask Him for help.
I have extremely vivid dreams, not necessarily bad ones though. I remember them in great detail as well. Sometimes the dreams make absolutely no sense and are physically impossible. Other times, they are almost like a story. Sometimes they are pretty wild.
