Because I know my heavenly Father loves me, I know it is an instruction. It is the kind that goes on during driving instruction "Son, IF YOU step on the clutch BEFORE you engage the gearbox, you will not stall the engine." If one realizes that God's "if you" is directly coupled to His truth -- it is powerful mix. It does not come natural to me and it certainly scares the daylights out of me but yielding to His "if you ....." greatly pleases Him and makes me a better child of Him.
