Have you noticed the number of times that the Bible uses the phrase, “If you…”? Whether you are in the Old Testament or the New Testament, you will quickly learn that so much of our walk with Christ is found in the “If you….”
So much of our obedience is found in the “If you….”
So much of what God wants to do in your life is dependent on the “If you….”
It occurs about 375+ times throughout each of the versions of the Bible.
Where is God speaking to you in your life or wanting to do something in your life, saying, “If you…”?
“If you” This is one of those statements that can be received either as an imposition or as an instruction. Because I know my heavenly Father loves me, I know it is an instruction. It is the kind that goes on during driving instruction “Son, IF YOU step on the clutch BEFORE you engage the gearbox, you will not stall the engine.” If one realizes that God’s “if you” is directly coupled to His truth — it is powerful mix. It does not come natural to me and it certainly scares the daylights out of me but yielding to His “if you …..” greatly pleases Him and makes me a better child of Him.
“Julio, IF YOU would let go of your worries about money and trust that I will take care of things ….. “
