Last night Hayden heard a fire engine for the 1,oooth time and I noticed something – his eyes lit up, his demeanor changed, and he ran to the window to see where it was with the same excitement that he did the first time he ever saw one.

And it hit me: At some point, we lose the “wonder” in life. Firetrucks don’t spark the response that they used to and life just seems like, well – life.

So what takes the “wonder” away? It has to be the clutter of life – worry, more responsibility, growing older, etc.

I want to live with wonder. Wonder catalyzes your thought process. Wonder makes every day a new adventure. Wonder is really what makes life an amazing journey.

Have you lost the wonder of life?

I think we all loose the wonder in somethings, if nothing else but through repetition. But for me the wonder of life is something that is renewed everyday, and not by the same things. Great post.

@Jason – Two great thoughts – repetition and finding the wonder in different things. Awesome! Thanks!
