I think the shift is always occurring. Romans 12:2: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." The "be conformed" and the "be transformed" stands out to me.

Just as the shift of being conformed to this world happens daily, so can the transformation by renewal of our minds. The renewal has to be a daily event and God has promised us that his grace and mercy are new every morning.

On another side of the spectrum though, we have to remember that just because we're not of the world, we're still in it. I've seen too many people place themselves in a "religious bubble" and lose their saltiness all the same.

Great post! Got me thinking today!

This can be challenging at times - seeking to follow after Christ and being immersed in His love and His church while not allowing our guardedness push us toward a fear of change.

Read a great blog post yesterday that challenged me about this:

"If it ain't broke, break it.

In other words, change. Just to change. That may sound like an odd statement, but it's vital. Why? Because change is the guts of creativity.

We all want to be creative. But to do that, in any venue of life, we have to be willing to change. Something. Anything. And we have to do it before we need to do it. "
