I love the people in ministry (well, at least most of them)! There are amazing people serving Christ in the church and in ministries that support the church.

Today I had the chance to meet with a few of the staff members at Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN. Pete, Jenni and Anne are amazing people. Let me tell you the story. Right before Easter, Pete twittered that Cross Point needed a portable baptistry to use for Easter weekend. He asked for someone to contact Anne if they were nearby and had one. We had it, so I emailed Anne and let her know that they could use ours if they needed one. She drove over, picked up the baptistry, and actually brought a copy of Mad Church Disease for one of our staff members. It was cool. In the process I set up times to meet with Pete and Jenni (that happened today). They are awesome people – the REAL deal – phenomenal leaders with a passion to impact the world for Christ.

But there are others. The staff team at FPC are one of the best in the country and they are awesome people. It really is amazing to get to serve with them and share life with them!

Here are some other people:

  • My Coaching Network guys that met with Tony (he rocks as well).
  • Jeff Pelletier with Fellowship Technologies. Jeff is a Tiger Fan (GEAUX Tigers) and not only serves the church but actively serves within the church.
  • Karen Butler with Church Solutions Magazine. Karen is an Editor with Church Solutions, but she loves Christ! She’s a great person.
  • David Lyons with MinisterSearch. David has become a great friend and confidant. He provides awesome services to the church as well.
  • Jonathan Howes, pastor of Graystone Community Church. Jonathan and I have been friends since Hebrew class in seminary. He’s an awesome guy with an incredible church.

I could go on for days. There are some great people in ministry – both in the church and in support of the church. I love the ministry!

The most amazing people in ministry are the ones who never know how amazing they really are. I see that quality of humility in you and everyone that I have met on the FPC team. I really enjoy encouraging you guys because I know the vision is huge and the landscape of East TN is changing in the name of Christ because of vision like that.

Thanks Chris! I can’t believe that God uses us the way He does. He’s amazing! Praying for you and The Ridge Church.
