So, you are in a tough spot in ministry. You’ve asked God to help you in your unbelief. Now what? If you are really serious and are willing to make changes no matter what the cost, I would enlist some help. So who can you go to? Here’s a couple of thoughts.
- Humble yourself and ask a pastor in your area for help. Yep, call the church that is seeing God do amazing things and ask someone there to have lunch. You really will have to humble yourself here because you may have already been critical of that ministry.
- Enlist the help of a professional. There are people out there who get paid to help churches. I recently visited with Lamar Slay of Partners in Church Consulting. He has years of experience in helping churches turn the corner, but he’ll only help you if you are serious. Others like Will Mancini of the Auxano team can help your church clarify its vision.
Ultimately, find someone who will support you in the process – it’s going to be a tough road!
