This weekend Pastor is speaking on the current financial crisis. He’s going to analyze what a Believer’s response should be when there is a struggle in our economy. Obviously, there is a huge battle here between faith and fear. But, I want to encourage you to trust God’s economy. God makes it clear that if we are faithful to Him then He will be faithful to us.
Of course Believers can struggle financially – even those who tithe. However, one of the things that we have noticed is that of the benevolence requests that we receive at FPC, less than 1% of those people helped were people who appeared to tithe (we can’t know for sure if they tithed because we don’t know what people make).
Kim and I have been abundantly blessed through tithing and have seen God do radical things with our finances because of our wilingness to more than tithe (last year we gave a little over 15%). So, we are committed to trust God’s economy – no matter what happens in our economy. I’m really praying that you will do the same.
