We finished the series Moved this weekend with an awesome message by Pastor. If you missed the services, it was an awesome look at the passage in Matthew 25 about the sheep and goats. Here were some of the great thoughts:
- These two groups were divided by their actions, not their beliefs.
- Sheep naturally serve and have compassion. It’s automatic – sheep have been given a new heart.
- If you don’t serve, you’re probably not saved.
- Many of you were taught to pray “the” prayer and you will be fine. Jesus said live the life.
- Real Christ followers are righteous, no religious. You should be living in such a way reflects Jesus and leads other to Him.
- The passage shows that your life is either impacting or not impacting Jesus.
- You really on believe the parts of the Bible that you practice. We read the Word but often do not heed the Word.
- Goats can love their wife, family, etc – it’s about Jesus.
- The Bible never says to look back to see if you are saved – it says look at TODAY – make your calling and election sure.
- Have you really become a Christ follower? Even when Jesus was crucified, He showed care for His mother and brothers while offering forgiveness to those who hurt Him.
I’m just now catching up on my fave blogs. We were out of town last weekend, so we missed the service. From your recap, I am DEF going to catch this one online! It sounds FABULOUS!
