I am often asked questions about what resources we use for various areas of the ministry at FPC. Some of these may work for you and others may not – my goal is to use resources that are ahead of where we need to be so that we can continue to use them as the church grows. Also, most of the services are priced based upon the size of the church making it affordable for church plants or large churches. Here’s a list:

  • Fellowship One (www.fellowshiptech.com) – Children’s check-in, online giving, church database administration, etc. It’s the best out there and is web-based.
  • EventU (www.ServiceU.com) – Resource & Room scheduling. Web-based and easy to set-up and use.
  • Intacct (www.intacct.com) – Aaron is currently migrating our data to this web-based accounting software. They have been awesome to work with.
  • Lightcast Media (www.lightcastmedia.com) – for our icampus that is under development.
  • Planning Center (www.planningcenteronline.com) – we just started with them today for our weekend tech order, etc.

All of these are web-based and amazing tools. We have chosen to go web-based because we do not have to be concerned with maintaining servers on our campus, backing them up for all of these functions and it allows us to be mobile as a ministry. Hopefully some of them will work for you.  By the way, I wasn’t paid to mention any of these!

Nice post. I’m going to check into intacct.com We’ve been looking for such a tool. We use planningcenteronline and love it! Also migrating our iCampus to Lightcast as well. Been using Mogulus and it’s been great but it’s time to upgrade before we launch in April

I would be super interested in hearing more about the planningcenteronline.com site. It looks like what I have been wanting for PromiseKids! It would be great to have a central site when volunteers can get schedules, curriculum and updates for the coming weekend. The sharepoint site that we use is often down and it is also limited to a select number of people that can access information.

    Thanks Bobby!

Mia, once we get worship up and running on planning center, we can get it working to resource all ministries.

I am also interested in Intacct. Any reason why you chose that over Quickbooks? And which version are you using?

Carl, I’ll ask Aaron, our Finance Director to email you.
