Awesome message this weekend by Pastor that challenged us to Upgrade to a life that identifies with Christ in a culture that often strips our identity from us. Here were some of the thoughts:
- Christ followers should live in a state of constant transformation.
- I am technologically challenged – has anyone tried to update iTunes before?
- Upgrades require us to get out of our comfort zone.
- Mark 5:24-34 ~ this woman has an issue she is ashamed of but goes to Jesus with it.
- Shame stinks, doesn’t it? Whatever you cover up in life stinks!
- If you walk with Jesus, you’ll fight the crowd.
- Whatever you leave in the darkness, the devil owns.
- We have to get desperate for God to move in us – like she did.
- Jesus asked, “Who touched me?” Why did he ask? Because she had to go public.
- The culture says keep it private – Jesus says go public.
- She told the “whole” truth – her testimony.
Twenty people were baptized and others made steps to go public. It was a great weekend!
