The phrase, “December to Remember,” is being thrown around these days by Chris Stephens, Pastor of Faith Promise Church. Several of our staff members believe that Pastor may be giving one lucky person a Lexus this year, since they use the same phrase (it’s not going to happen)! However, it really has been a year to remember at FPC. Each year the Senior Leadership Team sets goals that we believe God wants us to accomplish as a ministry. This year we have seen God do more than any year in the past. So, what has happened:

  1. We’ve baptized 223 people (200 was the goal).
  2. Attendance has soared to nearly 3,000 (2800 was the goal).
  3. More people have connected as members than any year before (130).
  4. We had 60% of adults who attend FPC on a weekend in an off-site small group several times this year & averaged over 50%.
  5. We’ve taken more mission trips than planned, seeing impact made worldwide.
  6. We are ahead of budget by $110,000+ with 3 weeks to go before year’s end.
  7. We’ve pledged over $4.7 million in The Journey, our two-year capital campaign & purchased 35-acres to see it become a reality.
  8. We have more people serving in ministry than at any time in the history of the ministry.
  9. We have one of the top staff teams in the country!
  10. We’re experiencing God on a weekly basis through worship, teaching and ministry. I think we’ve got It.

With 2008 being such a great year, what can we expect God to do in 2009. Check back tomorrow and I’ll let you know!

  1. It‘s quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
