A few weeks ago I was given an Amazon Kindle. Honestly, I’ve wanted one for awhile because technology is something that I can never get enough of! When the unexpected Kindle came my way, I immediately ripped it out of the box and began going through the tutorial – can I say, “Awesome!” So, why am I a Kindle snob:
- I can carry over 200 books at one time on an airplane (ok, I haven’t done that but I can!).
- I can clip pages & sync them via USB cable for printing, emailing, etc.
- The Whispernet is always connected – like Big Brother or something.
- Books download to the Kindle in less than a minute for instant reading pleasure.
- The cool “sleep” feature (and the pictures that go with it).
- Free samples of all books available from Amazon Kindle.
- Cheaper books (most are $9.99 or under!)
- The ability to email documents to my Kindle.
- It stays on the page I was reading last for every book – now that’s a bookmark!
- And last but not least – the cool little silver thing that it uses on the select menu.
So far, I only wish the Kindle had one thing – a backlight. That would make for easier reading in the dark! Here’s a picture for you:

I’m going to have to take a look at your Kindle before I make the plunge and get one…
Yeah – I love it, but the page numbering/flipping back to a page is a little bit of a struggle.
